By default, SnipNotes sorts your notes by the date they were last edited. This means that your latest notes always appear at the top of the note list. You can adjust this behavior in settings.
Open the list of categories and tap the cogwheel icon to reveal the settings menu. Scroll down to "Advanced Settings" and tap "General". In this menu you can choose between the following sorting criteria:
In addition, you can determine the sorting direction, i.e. whether the latest or the oldest notes should be displayed at the top.

Click the cogwheel icon in the top left corner to open the settings menu. You will find the same settings (as described above) in the "Notes" tab.
If you want to prevent certain notes from sliding down in your note list, you can pin them to the top.
In the note list, swipe right on a note and select "Pin".
Right-click on a note and select "Pin to the Top".
