When SnipNotes refuses to launch or crashes often, you can do the following:

Reset All Settings

  1. Open system settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Scroll down and select the “SnipNotes” row
    1. If you don’t see this row:
      1. Double-tap on the home button to bring up the app switcher
      2. Swipe up the settings app to close it
      3. Reopen the settings app and try again
  3. Turn on the switch named “Reset all settings”
  4. Open SnipNotes

This will delete all settings and some internal data, but keep your notes fully intact. It will also not remove a PIN code. (For this you have to reinstall the app from the App Store.)

Delete Local Data

If resetting all settings doesn’t help, you can try to delete your local data. Repeat the process from above and (in step 3) turn on the switch named “Delete local data” instead.

This will remove your local notes and re-download all your data from iCloud. You will lose data not backed up in iCloud and the contents of your trash.

Reinstall SnipNotes

Deleting the app from your device and reinstalling it from the App Store can be used as a last resort. This will also remove all your local data and settings, so please make sure everything important is stored in iCloud.
